Estate Planning Checklist Now Available

Estate Planning considerations are an act of love. If something were to happen to you tomorrow – whether it be death or incapacitation – will your loved ones know where to go to find what they will need to ensure that there is a smooth transition for your financial matters?

To help ensure a smooth transition, we highly recommend that you consider preparing a master list of all the information someone may need to manage your financial affairs or distribute your estate.

To assist you in this process we have published an Estate Planning Checklist. This checklist will help you organize your information and ensure that you’ve covered essential estate planning considerations. Copper Leaf Financial clients are able to store all of these essential items including the checklist itself in your personal online “vault”.

Once your list is complete, be sure to store it in a safe place and let a trusted person know where to find it. If your list is on paper, keep it locked up and let someone you trust know how to access it. If you save it as a digital document, you should protect it with a password and share the name of the file, its location, and password with that trusted person that you’ve identified. Taking these steps now can have a huge impact on your family, agent, and executor in the future.
