Promoting Personal Finance Wellness: One Student at a Time

Since fall 2025 Copper Leaf Financial Services has had the great honor to volunteer and support Winooski High School (Winooski, VT) personal finance students through career exploration and financial planning.  We also provided a monetary donation to the business classes, which allowed every Personal Finance and Accounting student to receive a brand-new book. The funds will also support their efforts to celebrate Financial Literacy month in April.

We were so happy to hear from their Finance teacher that she has already seen many students reading, highlighting and then sharing these books with others.

We are so grateful to receive their heartfelt thank you notes of appreciation! Here are some of the thoughtful notes from WHS students:

  • Everyday millionaires – the large study of millionaires (I am excited because I want to see how they became millionaires)
  • I’m very excited to read this book and learn everything I can from it going into the rest of my life!
  • I chose How to Adult because I want know how to manage and handle money before becoming an adult and having all those responsibilities of my own.
  • I chose this book because I have heard of #MISSBEHELPFUL and she has great advice for teens, keeps everything simple and understanding while also making sure we don’t make the same mistakes she made. Great choice for me.
  • I really appreciate the gift. Thank you
  • I’m very excited to read this book and learn about the tips and tricks about money, thank you for ordering this book for me and my classmates.
  • Thank you Copper Leaf Financial for being very generous to our school, we appreciate it so much. I chose Everyday Millionaires because It seems really interesting to me on how they became how they are, and would love to learn from it.
  • Thank you Copper Leaf Financial for this meaningful gift. I chose the ‘Debt Free Degree’ because I am planning to go to college and I want to learn how I can be smart with money and get a degree with less or no debt. It’s also exciting for me because the things I’ve been learning in my Personal Finance class have been very useful till now and I want to learn and use the learnings more.
  • We deeply appreciate your donations to our school. I’m excited to read Debt Free Degree to learn about the ways I can save money while attending college.
